Voting Leave

Voting leave allows employees to take time off to vote on the day of an election.

The federal government does not have any laws that require an employer to allow employees to take time off to vote.

Many states do have laws requiring employers to provide employees some voting leave benefits. Some require that the leave be paid while other simply require an employer to allow employees to take unpaid leave.
