Each month, the United States Department of Labor (US DOL or DOL) issue violations and settles cases covering the federal laws they are responsible for enforcing. These federal laws include:

Highlighted Violations and Settlements
The DOL enters into a wage claim settlement with KDE Equine LLC after third violation in 4 years
On June 11, 2024, the US Department of Labor (DOL) announced a settlement with KDE Equine LLC for $486,520 for failing to properly pay overtime. The award including $243,260 in backpay and $243,260in liquidated damages.
The announcement recognized that KDE Equine had previously entered into a settlement agreement with the DOL in August 2023, in which it agreed to reimburse grooms and hotwalkers $243,260 with an additional $75,223 in penalties for violating the H-2b worker program rules.
Additionally, in September 2021, a federal district court entered a consent judgment ordering KDE Equine to pay workers $563,800 in backpay and liquidated damages for overtime violations which included concealing worked hours, directing employees to sign incomplete or false timesheets, and failing to accurately calculating overtime pay owed.

- California: Department of Labor cites Long Branch contractor for 32 violations in 4-month span for willfully exposing employees to deadly fall hazards
- Illinois: Illinois contractor exposes employees to deadly fall hazards twice in 2 months at homes under construction in Hanover Park subdivision
- Texas: Federal judge upholds Department of Labor order for crane company to pay truck driver terminated for refusing to violate federal safety rules

- California: Arakelian Enterprises will pay $104K to resolve alleged hiring discrimination
- Illinois: Federal contractor Deere & Co. resolves alleged hiring discrimination, pays $1.1M in back wages, interest to affected Black, Hispanic jobseekers
