Meeting, lecture, and training time
Oklahoma’s minimum wage act requires employers to pay employees for attending training or classes if:
- the employees is required to attend the training or classes;
- the training or classes occur prior to employment or concurrent with the performance of job duties; and
- the training is provided by the employer or held at the place of employment.

Employers are not required to pay employees for attending training or classes when the employer contracts with a third party to provide the training away from the workplace or when the employer requires employees to obtain outside training. OK Admin. Rules 380:30-1-12(b)
Show up or reporting time
Oklahoma law does not require employers to pay employees for reporting or showing up to work if no work is performed. An employer is also not required to pay an employee a minimum number of hours if the employer dismisses the employee from work prior to completing their scheduled shift. Employers are only required to pay employees for hours actually worked.
