October 15 – South Dakota minimum wage will increase to $8.55 on January 1, 2016

On October 15, 2015, the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation announced that the state’s minimum wage will increase to $8.55. Each year, the Department of Labor and Regulation is charged with increasing the state’s minimum wage by the same rate as the increase in the consumer price index.
