September 16 – The Bureau of Labor and Industries announces that there will be no change to the state minimum wage in 2016

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries has announced that there will be no increase to the state minimum wage in 2016. The state minimum wage law requires the Bureau of Labor and Industries to increase the minimum wage each year when there is an increase in the consumer price index. The Department determined there was no increase in the relevant consumer price index and therefore there will be no increase in the state’s minimum wage for 2016.
