June 25 – Gov. Sununu signed a law making non-compete agreements involving licensed nurses and podiatrists invalid
On June 25, 2018, Governor Sununu signed Senate Bill 473. The law makes non-compete provisions in employment, partnership, or any other business agreements involving licensed nurses or podiatrists invalid and void.
The new law becomes effective on June 25, 2018.
June 25 – Gov. Sununu signed a law requiring employers to pay for employees’ uniforms
On June 25, 2018, Governor Sununu signed Senate Bill 318. The law requires employer to pay for employees’ uniforms if they are required to wear them. Employers are not required to pay for any other company garments the employee voluntarily chooses to wear.
The new law becomes effective on June 25, 2018.

June 8 – Gov. Sununu signed a law including gender identity as a basis for employment discrimination protections
On June 8, 2018, Governor Sununu signed House Bill 1319. The law includes gender identity as a basis for employment discrimination protections under the existing “Law Against Discrimination.”
The new law becomes effective on July 8, 2018.
