November 12 – Missouri announces its minimum wage will not change in 2016

On November 12, 2015, the Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations announced that the state’s minimum wage will not increase in 2016. It will remain at $7.65.

September 2015

September 16 – Missouri General Assembly overrides Governor Nixon’s veto of a law prohibiting local minimum wage and other employment-related laws

On September 16, 2015, the Missouri General Assembly overrode Governor Nixon’s veto of a law that prohibits political subdivisions within the state from establishing minimum or living wage rates or other benefits that exceed federal or state requirements. Laws in effect as of August 28, 2015, are not affected by this law.
