Public Officers and Employees Delinquent Tax

Summary

Provides that if any officer or employee of the State, or any political subdivision thereof, does not pay their State income tax on or before specified date after such income tax becomes due and payable, their wages, salary or other compensation shall be withheld and paid to the Department of Revenue in satisfaction of such income tax, interest and penalty, if any, until paid in full, unless the officer or employee elects to have a lesser amount withheld.

Medical Cannabis Act

Summary

Relates to medical cannabis; authorizes a practitioner to assist a patient in registering for a registry identification card with the Department of Health after the practitioner has issued a written certification to the patient; provides that the requirements shall not apply to a person who is authorized to purchase topical cannabis, and such persons may possess and use such products without being in violation.

Summary

Provides that contract workers for any department, agency or institution of the State government, any school district, community/junior college, public library or university-based program, whether classified as contract workers or independent contractors, may purchase the base plan of the State and School Employees’ Health Insurance Plan provided that such person pays the full price of such plan without contribution from their employer.
