November 1 – Johnson County’s minimum wage increases

On November 1, 2015, the minimum wage for employers in Johnson County with gross sales or business of at least $300,000 increased to $8.20 ($4.92 for tipped employees).

September 2015

September 10 – Johnson County passes an ordinance establishing a minimum wage with regular increases

On September 10, 2015, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors passed a new minimum wage ordinance. The new minimum wage applies to businesses with at least $300,000 in sales or business in a year. The minimum wages set by the new ordinance is as follows:

  • November 1, 2015 – $8.20 (tipped employees – $4.92)
  • May 1, 2016 – $9.15 (tipped employees – )
  • January 1, 2017 – $10.10 (tipped employees – )
  • June 30, 2018 – Minimum wage is pegged to increases in the consumer price index for Midwest states
