Summary

Requires the Law Enforcement Training Board to establish minimum standards for basic training and annual inservice training that address the mental health and wellness of law enforcement officers; requires the executive training program to include training in mental health and wellness and suicide prevention of law enforcement officers; provides that the mental health and wellness training may be provided online or by other means of virtual instruction; provides such training for full time firefighters.

Physician Noncompete Agreements and Referrals

Summary

Provides that, notwithstanding any other law, a physician and an employer may not enter into a noncompete agreement; provides that if employer terminates the physician’s employment without cause, physician terminates the physician’s employment for cause, and physician’s employment contract has expired and the physician and employer have fulfilled the obligations of the contract, then a physician noncompete agreement is not enforceable.
