Connecticut Occupational Classifications


Connecticut’s paid sick leave law only applies to employees defined as service workers. The law defines service worker as an employee that works in one of sixty-eight (68) designated occupational classifications defined by the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Connecticut Sick Leave Law, Conn. Stat. 31-57r(7) Below is a list of the Bureau of Labor Statistics classifications that constitute service workers for purposes of Connecticut’s paid sick leave law.
