May 21 – Gov. Ivey signed a law provide a tax credit for certain employers who hire unemployed veterans
On May 21, 2018, Governor Ivey signed House Bill 83. The law allows certain certain employers who hire unemployed veterans to take a tax credit of up to $2,000. Other requirements and restriction apply.
The new tax credit applies to the tax year beginning January 1, 2018, and expires in the tax year beginning January 1, 2023.
