June 6 – Gov. Fallin signed a law preventing employers from requiring applicants to disclose information contained in sealed criminal records.

On June 6, 2016, Gov. Fallin signed a law, amending Oklahoma Statute 22, Section 19, preventing employers from requiring applicants to disclose information contained in sealed criminal records and may not deny employment to an applicant solely for refusing to provide such information.

The law goes into effect November 1, 2016.
