Effective March 18, 2020 all casinos will be closed to the general public and that all restaurants and bars throughout the 55 counties of this state shall not allow on premises consumption of food or drink or occupy by the general public for purposes other than picking up food and or drink from such establishments to be taken away.

Effective as of March 19, 2020, all fitness centers, gymnasiums, recreation centers, and similar businesses are entities where the public tends to congregate for recreation, sport, or similar leisure activities throughout the 55 counties of the state shall not allow occupancy by the general public.

The purpose of this executive order, communicable disease control measures shall include quarantine or isolation directives or orders related to COVID19, including orders that have been issued or maybe issued from time to time relating to the closure or limitation of occupancy of certain types of businesses or facilities to limit the spread of COVID19, issued by the state of West Virginia, the federal government, a local government entity, or a medical or public health professional.

Executive Order 5-20

This executive order declares that counties have the authority and flexibility to evaluate courthouse services and staffing and to make decisions that are in the best interest of each respective county, as each respective county may determine. Counties have the authority under state law to issue orders and guidance and it take other actions as necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. County staff shall take such actions to effectuate the order and guidance of County commissioners, in consultation with Circuit Court judges order where appropriate.

This executive order declares all elective medical procedures are prohibited, provided the patients will still have access to urgent, medically necessary procedures like those needed to preserve the patients life or long term health; and provided that is prohibition applies equally to all types of elective medical procedures performed in hospitals, offices, and clinics throughout the state.
