GA: The “Family Care Act” is repealed

July 1 All day

Unless extended by an Act of Georgia’s General Assembly, the Family Care Act will be repealed on July 1, 2023. The Family Care Act encourages employers with 25 employees to allow employees who are eligible for sick leave and work at least 30 hours per workweek to take sick leave to care for immediate family members in addition to themselves. The Family Care Act does not require employers to provide employees with either paid or unpaid sick leave.
