IL: Child Labor Law

IL Senate Bill 3161

Provides that an employer who employs a minor under 16 years of age in a television, motion picture, or related entertainment production may allow the minor to work until 10 p.m. without seeking a waiver from the Department of Labor; provides that a waiver request for a minor to work between 10 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. or between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. shall be granted if the Director of Labor, or his or her authorized representative, is satisfied that all of the specified conditions are met.
