CA: Changes for COVID exposure reporting requirements for certain industries expire

January 1 All day

California Assembly Bill 654 (2021)

Beginning on October 5, 2021, certain employees were required, when giving notice to the local public health agency of a COVID-19 outbreak, to give that notice within 48 hours or one (1) business day, whichever is later. This requirement expands various licensed entities that are exempt from the COVID-19 outbreak reporting requirement to, including, but not limited to, community clinics, adult day health centers, community care facilities, and child daycare facilities.

The changed reporting requirements expire on January 1, 2023.
