Thank you for visiting EmploymentLawHandbook.com

This site was created to be a research resource for employers, especially small businesses,
who need quick access to information regarding their employment and labor law questions.
Hopefully, this site will be helpful to employers in cutting down the time it takes to find answers
to employment and labor-related questions, thus, freeing up owners, managers, and
administrators to do the work their companies are designed to do.

Although this site was first created for employers' use, it is clear that employees are regularly
visiting this site as well.  We hope employees continue to visit the site and find the answers to
the questions they have about their rights and responsibilities in the workplace.  We also hope
that by visiting the site, employees will  better understand the legal restrictions and obligations
faced by their employers.

As you use this site, you will find the majority of the pages in this handbook currently consist of
short summaries of the relevant law then links to other sites, particularly government sites.  To
expedite your research, we have attempted to make each link as precise as possible.  In our
research, we have found many employment-related sites, particularly government sites, tend to
be confusing to navigate.  Therefore, I have tried to do as much of the site navigation for you as
possible.

The purpose of each page in this site is not necessarily to answer your question directly,
although we hope they do.  Instead, the purpose of each page is to give you, in a single
location, the resources you need to obtain your answers.  The linked sites, especially the
government sites, provide more comprehensive and authoritative discussions of the law which
will provide many of the answers to your employment and labor law questions.  As
EmploymentLawHandbook.com grows we hope to become a comprehensive resource for all
your employment and labor law related questions.

We hope you find this site to be a useful resource.  Please feel free to give us
feedback on this
site, whether it's a suggesting an improvement, a correction, or  additional links or information.
We want this site to be as useful and correct as possible.  Also, if you have used the resources
in the site and have not found the answer to your question, please
contact us.  We will do our
best to help you find the answer you need.
